Junior Athlete (Ages 6-10): Our junior athlete information session is targeted towards a younger audience, and use an interactive and entertaining approach to educating young athletes. The information session uses a clear and simple language to effectively explain what causes a concussion, and how the brain is affected. The course is designed to build a framework of understanding with regards to symptoms an athlete may experience after obtaining a concussion. This framework will allow young athletes to better communicate these symptoms to their coaches, parents, and physicians.

* Each session is tailored to the athlete’s specific sport and takes into account the age group and gender of the participants.

 

Youth Athlete (Ages 10-14): Our youth athlete information session covers a more detailed description of concussions and explains language that can be used communicate symptoms to a coach, parent, and physician. The information session also briefly covers pressures, and stigma surrounding recovery post-concussion. Similar to our junior athlete information session, an interactive and entertaining approach is taken to assure that your children get the most out of our information session and will be able to apply the information they’ve learned to the rest of the sporting season.

Athlete (Ages 14-18+): Our athlete information session is geared towards a more mature age group and develops a scientific understanding of concussions and expands to factors that surround concussions. Topics include the mechanisms of a concussion (during and after), the impact of multiple concussions, and techniques that can be applied to deal with the pressures and stigmas related to concussions.

* Each session is tailored to the athlete’s specific sport and takes into account the age group and gender of participants

 

Parent/Guardian: Our parent information session is targeted towards highlighting less common symptoms you may see in your child after a concussion, where to go if you believe your child may have a concussion, information regarding baseline testing, and technologies on the market to help reduce the risk of a concussion.

* Parent information sessions are focused on the age group of the child and the sport in which they participate.
